Bawean Tourism

Bawean island is a small island located in the Java Sea, about 2 mill north of the island Java. Administratively, Bawean island became part of the district of Gresik, East Java Province. Bawean is composed of two sub-districts and districts Sangkapura Pond.Population of about 70,000 people, mostly have a livelihood as fishermen or farmers as well as a migrant worker in Malaysia and Singapore. Majority of the population is ethnic tribe Bawean Bawean, followed by the Javanese, Madurese and other ethnic groups such as Bugis and Mandailing.
